Friday Swap Project - Christmas Tag Swap

Photos 008

Please don't be scared!  This Christmas tag will not come to life and eat you.  If anyone can tell me how to make my pics smaller in Typepad that would be greatly appreciated and I am sure my viewers would feel the same way!

Today is the last day of my Christmas Tag Swap on splitcoaststampers.com (SCS).  The tags are totally awesome and if you would like to check out some of them, you can go HERE and see what it is all about.  This is the tag that I made for the swap.

4. Stamp Block Party in StazOn Jet Black ink on manila piece

5. Heat emboss on manila piece with SU Clear Embossing Powder

7. Tie ribbon in the slot

Monday Organization - What punch is which?

The other day someone told me that they get confused on which punch is which when they look at the picture on top of the punch.  Since I am getting old and forgetting everything these days I simply write it on the punch.

You could label your punch with a label maker but I just use a Sharpie and I always put my initials on it.  I have seen some ladies that use smiley faces or draw something on their punches, stamp pads, etc. because they have common initials.

Friday Swap Project - Birthday Card

This is a birthday card that I made for one of my friends.  It was a very simple card.  The only difficult thing was to keep the glitter on the "b".  I didn't have any heat and stick powder so I had to keep layering my mono glue to get the thickness I wanted.

New Loot Alert

NEW LOOT ALERT NEW LOOT ALERT NEW LOOT ALERT

This is such goodness!  Sorry the photo isn't in focus.  I was having some focusing issues that night.  I think I was just so excited to have the new Sizzix Dies that I just wanted to play with those and do nothing else.

Monday Organization - Why green dots?

A viewer of my blog asks the question, "Why do you have green dots on your stamp set boxes?"

New Loot 013

The reason I use green dots on the stamp set boxes is to keep myself organized. When I receive a new set it gets a green dot.  When the stamp set retires it gets a yellow or red dot. I am getting low on yellow dots so I have started using red.  In the event that a retired set does not back it back to its proper home and ends up on the shelf with the active sets I can easily tell which is which.  I don't like to use retired sets for my Cardio Classes because if it is retired I can't sell it.

By the way, the dots are simply yard sale stickers.  You could easily make your own with DSP and run them through a Xyron machine.

Friday Swap Project - NAC Swap Card

Thought I would take the time to show you projects that I have been working on.  So, on Fridays I will have a new theme, Friday Swap Project.  Some of the projects are from the past but most will be fairly current.  I really enjoy making swaps because I like the challenge of creating something new and I like getting nice fat packages in the mail!

This card was created for the NAC Swap over on the demo side of Splitcoaststampers.  Some of us demos that were not able to attend the Stampin Up! Convention this year signed up to swap card fronts.

New Loot Alert

Note: I forgot to post this last month!  I had composed the post and completely forgot to post it.  So here is my very late posting of my new loot.  (I have to post it now because I have more loot coming next week!):)

NEW LOOT NEW LOOT NEW LOOT

Check out my new loot!  I am so excited.  I LOVE these new punches (curvy square and scallop square) and the Haiku DSP is BEAUTIFUL!  The new In Colors are fantastic too!  And the most exciting of all is that the new stamp sets are die cut so no one has to cut them out anymore!!!  Hooray for Stampin Up!

Where has the summer gone?

One of my friends in Kansas emailed me first thing this morning pics of her boys on their first day of school, which is today!  Can you believe it is that time of year again?

If you are wondering why I haven't posted since June or July, I really don't have an excuse.  I haven't felt especially expressive in the writing department lately.  I have been doing a bunch of swaps and I am going to post a couple of those now.  (Please note that I have not gone crazy, I am just addicted to the recipe swaps posted on Splitcoaststampers.)
